Set in the primitive defensive structure of Granja do Hospital, the present parish church of Granja replaces the previous religious building and was reconstructed at the expensed of the Metropolitan Area of D. Teotónio of Bragança, during the last decades of the 16th century. With a regular plant and wide ship, the Parish Church of Granja presents inside great interest painting and retables. It is a building that by its monumentality visibly detaches itself from the other urban landscape.
